Task Management
The Library uses a task to record one download, sniffing, or transcode operation. A single task can produce several files, such as video, audio, subtitles, and cover art.
Running
Section titled “Running”Open Library → Running to see:
- The current stage, such as preparation, parsing, downloading, merging, or transcoding.
- Completed progress, speed, and elapsed time.
- Separate download and transcode speeds.
- The cancel action for the current task.
Canceling stops the current work. Whether temporary files already written are kept depends on the task’s current stage.
Task list
Section titled “Task list”Open Library → Tasks and select a record to view its details. Common information includes status, source, original link, creation and update times, and the files produced by the task.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for an available concurrency slot. |
| Running | Parsing, downloading, merging, or transcoding. |
| Completed | The task workflow has finished; check that its files are available. |
| Failed | The error is retained so you can retry when appropriate. |
| Canceled | The task was stopped manually. |
Common actions
Section titled “Common actions”| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Preview | Switch between previewable files produced by the task. |
| Copy Link | Copy the original download address saved with the task. |
| Rename | Change the task name displayed in the Library. |
| Resume Task | Restart processing for supported failed or canceled tasks. |
| Delete | Remove the record or related content as described in the confirmation dialog. |
Sniffed resources can depend on short-lived links and the original page state. If such a task fails, returning to Sniffing and capturing it again is usually more reliable.
When an output file is missing
Section titled “When an output file is missing”A successful task only means the workflow finished. If its file was later moved, its drive went offline, or its path became invalid, the details area shows it as unavailable. Open Library → Manage → Data Management → Maintenance to check invalid files, or import an existing file again.
