YouTube Video Downloads

The YouTube player and some video menus provide Download. After you select it, XiaDown opens the Library download flow with the video’s URL.

Download steps

1. Open a video.
2. Select Download in the player or from the video menu.
3. Choose Quick or Custom Mode in the download window.
4. Select video quality, audio, subtitles, and optional transcoding.
5. Click Start.
6. View progress under Library → Running.

After completion, find the result under Library → Tasks, Video, or Audio.

Save audio only

Choose Audio in Quick Mode, or select an audio stream in Custom Mode. To use MP3, M4A, or another format, also choose post-download transcoding.

Account and permissions

Membership content, age restrictions, private lists, and other restricted content may require a YouTube App Session. Before enabling an available session in the download window, confirm that its account can access the content.

When a download fails

• Update or verify yt-dlp, FFmpeg, and Bun.
• Revalidate the YouTube App Session.
• Confirm that the video still plays in YouTube.
• Lower download concurrency and create the task again.
