Local Music

The Local scope in Music reads available audio from the Library. Audio downloaded with XiaDown and local music imported into the Library can both appear here.

Add music

• Download a song from the Online scope in Music.
• Save audio with Library video downloads.
• Add existing audio files with Library import.

After adding files, switch to Music → Local and refresh if necessary.

Browse

The Local sidebar provides Search, Home, Recently Added, Artists, Albums, and Songs. Select a song to play it, or select an artist or album to view its tracks.

Files without tags may appear under Unknown Artist or Unknown Album. For formats that support safe tag writing, use Edit Song Info to change the title, artist, album, genre, track number, year, and other fields.

Local playlists

1. Create a playlist in the Local scope.
2. Enter a name and save it.
3. Select songs and use Add Songs to add them to the list.
4. In the playlist, you can remove tracks, rename the list, or delete it.

Deleting a playlist is not the same as deleting its audio files from the Library. The confirmation dialog explains the scope of the operation.

Invalid files

Audio may stop playing after you move or delete a file or disconnect an external drive. First confirm that the drive is online, then check invalid records under Library → Manage → Data Management → Maintenance. You can clean unneeded invalid entries after confirmation.
