Browse and Search
After switching to YouTube, choose a page from the sidebar. Select a video card to open playback, or choose a channel, playlist, or another entry to keep browsing that content.
Search
Section titled “Search”- Select Search.
- Enter keywords for a video, channel, or topic.
- Choose a video from the results.
- To return to the results, close the playback details or use the page’s Back action.
If there are no matching results, shorten the search terms or check the network connection.
Channel pages
Section titled “Channel pages”Select the channel name under a video card, or the channel avatar or name on a playback page, to open the channel. It can show the banner, avatar, name, handle, subscriber count, video count, description, and video list. Select More to view the complete details.
The person icon next to the channel name subscribes or unsubscribes. When subscribed, the icon shows a check mark; select it again to unsubscribe.
Account pages
Section titled “Account pages”Subscriptions, Liked Videos, Watch Later, Playlists, History, and other account pages require sign-in:
- Open Library → App Sessions.
- Choose YouTube and complete sign-in.
- Verify the session state.
- Return to YouTube and reopen the page.
If the session expires, the page asks you to reconnect. See App Sessions for details.
Like, dislike, and subscription actions sync to the account signed in through the current YouTube App Session.
When a page is temporarily unavailable
Section titled “When a page is temporarily unavailable”YouTube request timeouts, service problems, regional restrictions, or account restrictions can prevent a page from loading. Check Network and proxy first, then refresh or try again later.
