Files and Categories
The Library organizes files by content type. Open a category to narrow the list.
Categories
Section titled “Categories”| Category | Typical content |
|---|---|
| All | Every directory item in the current Library. |
| Video | Video files and their playable versions. |
| Audio | Downloaded or imported music, podcasts, and other audio. |
| Books | Recognized book content. |
| Images | Covers, pictures, and other image files. |
| Other | Subtitles, manifests, documents, fonts, archives, API data, unknown items, and content awaiting review. |
Find content
Section titled “Find content”- Use Search to find items by title and indexed information.
- Use the sort menu to choose recently updated, oldest first, name, or size.
- Switch between grid and list views to use the layout that best suits the current content.
Preview and details
Section titled “Preview and details”Select an item to show the sections supported by its type on the right:

| Preview | Play video or audio, view images, or display supported text content. |
| Information | View status, format, size, duration, location, and source. |
| Tags | Add or remove tags for organization. |
| Relationships | View links to tasks, files, or collections. |
| Versions | Distinguish the current output, previous outputs, and derived versions. |
| Metadata / Activity | View recorded information and change history. |
The available sections vary by item type and current version.
When a local file changes
Section titled “When a local file changes”If a file is moved in Finder, File Explorer, or on an external drive, the Library may mark it as missing. First confirm that the drive is connected, then check Manage → Data Management → Maintenance. To add the file again, use local import.
