Preview and Download
The resource list may contain manifests, segments, covers, and API requests for the same content. Previewing a resource or inspecting its details first reduces the chance of selecting the wrong item.
Inspect a resource
Section titled “Inspect a resource”Select a resource to use:

| Copy Address (Live) | Copy a live resource address to the clipboard. |
| Download | Add a downloadable resource to the Library. |
An unavailable preview does not necessarily mean the resource cannot be downloaded. Some manifests, APIs, and temporary browser resources cannot be previewed directly in the app. Check the type and details before deciding whether to download.
Download HLS or a manifest
Section titled “Download HLS or a manifest”For downloadable HLS, m3u8, or other media manifests, XiaDown creates a task and processes the media segments after you click Download. Progress appears under Library → Running.
If segment downloading is unstable, lower segment concurrency under Settings → Download, then create the task again.
When a temporary link expires
Section titled “When a temporary link expires”Some pages generate resource addresses that work only briefly or within the current session. If you see “Resource no longer exists” or “Address unavailable,” or the task fails immediately:
- Return to the browser, reload the page, and play the media again.
- Wait for Sniffing to capture a new resource.
- Preview and download the latest entry.
For pages that require account state, also confirm that the sniffing browser is still signed in.
