Images and Video
RSS chooses a layout based on each subscription entry’s content type. Use Images and Videos in the sidebar to quickly view the corresponding entries.
Images
Section titled “Images”An image entry may show a cover, gallery, or images from the article body. Select the entry to open its full content. Missing images usually mean the source did not provide them, the remote address has expired, or the current network cannot load them.
Use View Original or Open in Browser when you need the source page.
A video entry chooses a playback method based on its source and available addresses. XiaDown provides dedicated playback pages for some common video sources; other sites may use a web playback window.
| State | What to do |
|---|---|
| No playable video | Open the original article and confirm that the source still provides the media. |
| Site not optimized yet | Use the playback window directly, or open it in the system browser. |
| Sign-in required | Complete an App Session or web sign-in for the corresponding site, then retry. |
| Playback failed | Check the network, source address, and entry update time. |
Podcasts
Section titled “Podcasts”Entries containing audio enclosures may appear as podcast episodes. Select an entry and use the playback controls provided on its page. Download availability depends on whether the entry provides a valid media address.
