Browse and Download

Music lets you reach track details from Home, categories, search, artist, album, and playlist pages.

Search and browse

1. Switch to Music → Online.
2. Use Search to enter a song, artist, album, or playlist name.
3. Select a result to open its details, or play a track directly.
4. Use “View All” to expand longer groups of results.

Playlist and album pages can provide Play All, Shuffle, Add to Library, and other actions. The available buttons depend on the content type and account state.

Download a song

Use Download from a track’s More menu or the Now Playing area. XiaDown opens the download flow with the corresponding YouTube address.

1. Click Download.
2. Confirm quality, audio, subtitles, or transcode settings in the download window.
3. Click Start.
4. View progress under Library → Running.

To save audio only, select Audio in the download window. You can also transcode it to a common audio format after downloading.

When Download is unavailable

Live streams, content without a video ID, or items whose address cannot currently be resolved may not show a download action. If a regular song fails to download, check:

• Whether the YouTube App Session is valid.
• Whether yt-dlp and FFmpeg are available.
• Whether the current network can reach YouTube.
• Whether the current account can access the content.

After the download finishes, the audio enters the Library and also appears under Local in Music.
