Task view groups results by each download or transcode record. It is useful when you want to understand what happened to a link, playlist item, or conversion task. A task can show completed, failed, canceled, or repair-needed states.

Common actions include opening the output folder, previewing files, retrying supported tasks, viewing details, or deleting the record. Deleting a task record may also ask whether to remove related files.

File view is organized around actual output files. It is best for daily management after the task itself no longer matters.

You can search by name, filter by media type, preview video, audio, images, and subtitles, open the folder, copy information, transcode again, delete, or inspect file details such as size, format, path, and related task.

When selecting multiple files, available actions change to batch actions. You can delete files together or handle selected items more quickly. XiaDown asks for confirmation before destructive actions.

If a file was moved or renamed outside XiaDown, the library may show it as missing. Use Repair Location to choose the new file or folder. After repair, preview, open folder, and transcode actions become available again.
