Settings
Click the account area in the lower-left corner, then click the Settings icon. On Windows, Settings can also be opened from the system tray; on macOS, it is available from the menu bar.

General
Section titled “General”Launch at Startup and Hide to Tray after Launch together determine how the app starts. Show in Menu Bar refers to the system tray on Windows and the menu bar on macOS.
The interface switches after you change its language. When troubleshooting, you can increase the log level and open the log directory from this page. Logs may contain paths or error context, so sanitize them before submission.
Data Management displays core, recyclable, and obsolete data. Browser Data manages browser profiles used by XiaDown.
Network
Section titled “Network”Proxy settings affect online clients, RSS, updates, dependencies, and download parsing. This page also contains Library Access settings. See Network and proxy for proxy details and Library Access for device connections and permission management.
Download
Section titled “Download”- Adjust the sniffing resource scope, minimum resource size, and number of retained items.
- Change the download directory.
- Adjust task concurrency and media-segment concurrency.
- Install, verify, or reinstall dependencies.
Higher concurrency is not always faster and can increase site rate limiting and proxy connection pressure.
About and updates
Section titled “About and updates”About displays the current version and latest-version state. When an update is found, follow the page to download and install it, then restart. Previous versions and release notes are available on GitHub Releases.
