Hush
Hush is Listen’s live mode. It is designed for Lo-Fi, ambient sound, and long-running YouTube Live channels.
What It Can Do
Section titled “What It Can Do”- Play built-in YouTube Live radio groups such as Lo-Fi, Jazz, and Night Drive.
- Show live status, channel information, cover art, and playback state.
- Shuffle or switch channels when you want a different background sound.
- Create custom groups and add your own YouTube Live channels.
- Continue using shared Listen player controls, lyrics display when available, volume, queue, and tray hover controls.
Browse and Play
Section titled “Browse and Play”Open Listen, choose Hush, then select a group and a channel. Clicking a channel starts playback in the right-side player. If the channel is unavailable or the network cannot reach YouTube, XiaDown shows a failed state so you can switch channels or check proxy settings.
Built-in Channels
Section titled “Built-in Channels”Built-in channel groups are maintained with app updates and online directory updates. They are meant for long listening sessions, focus work, study, and background ambience.
Custom Groups and Channels
Section titled “Custom Groups and Channels”Use the add action in Hush to create a group, paste a YouTube Live channel or live video URL, and save it. Custom channels stay local to your XiaDown installation. If a channel stops working, edit or remove it and add a new URL.
